How long do the UV LEDs in FLYght Duo last?

LEDs are sourced from the world’s best manufacturer with 50,000-hour lifespan. FLYght Duo LEDs also have uniform UV output throughout their life.

What is the size of FLYght Duo’s glue boards?

The size of FLYght Duo’s glue boards is:  418 mm X 283 mm.

Please note that our glue board manufacturer provides glue boards with perforated edges.  You should gently tear them to separate out the two rectangular pieces for your use.  

The thin (about 20 mm wide) extra strip between the two glue boards can be discarded.

Is FLYght Duo suitable for use in food industry which has glass policies?

FLYght Duo is inherently glass-free as we use LEDs and do not have any glass fixtures in our trap.

Should we leave the FLYght Duo on throughout the day and night?

We have designed the FLYght Duo to be used 24/7/365 to attract and trap insects during the day and night.

Is FLYght Duo wall mounted?

Yes, we have designed FLYght Duo to be lightweight (3.8lb / 1.8kg) so you can place it anywhere. 2 screws or some strong adhesive tape is all it takes (screws recommended).

You can fix FLYght Duo traps on walls and also place them on shelves or tabletops. In our studies we have found that FLYgth Duo traps perform best in attracting insects when you place them 150 cm. (5 ft.) above ground level. 

How frequently do you replace the glue boards?

Frequency of glue board replacement depends on the condition of the glue board.

It should be replaced every 30 days or less if the glue board fills up with flies faster.

What is the warranty period of the trap?

Bentz Jaz gives a three (3) year warranty on the FLYght Duo from the date of purchase.

What does Bentz Jaz do in case the unit malfunctions?

Bentz Jaz assists the customer to have a functional trap by first investigating the malfunction. 

If the unit and issue is covered under warranty, Bentz Jaz will fix the issue or replace a the entire unit if it cannot be fixed.
